Drones over U.S. may pose security risks

WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Home Depot dehumidifiers due to a fire hazard.
About 2,000 Hampton Bay dehumidifiers were imported from China by Home Depot of Atlanta, Ga., and sold nationwide from November 2000 through May 2007 for about $135 apiece.
Home Depot has received 18 reports of the units catching fire, the commission said.
The dehumidifiers are beige with "Hampton Bay" printed on the front panel. The recall involves model HB-50 dehumidifiers.
Consumers were advised to stop using the units and contact Home Depot for a gift card worth the full purchase price.
Consumers can call 800-553-3199 for information.
