WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Super Rigs Play Sets toy trucks due to a lead paint standards violation.
About 700 toy sets with "Super Rig Transport" trucks were imported from China by Variety Wholesalers Inc., of Henderson, N.C., and sold in discount stores in the Southeast between September 2009 and November 2009 for about $20 each.
The sets include a truck and trailer holding two other vehicles and two action figures.
The paint on the trucks contains high levels of potentially toxic lead, the commission said in a statement.
Consumer were advised to take the toys away from children and return them to the retailer for a full refund or a replacement product.
Consumers can call 800-678-7776 for information.
