WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Louis Hornick & Co. Roman Shades due to a strangulation hazard.
About 364,000 Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades were imported from China by Louis Hornick & Co. Inc. of New York and sold nationwide from August 2007 and September 2009 for between $40 and $130.
They were sold through Bed Bath & Beyond of Union, N.J.
The commission said there were two reports of children becoming entangled by the inner cord that runs along the back of the shade.
The recall involves all sizes and colors of Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades with cords that run exposed along the back, the commission said.
Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled shades and contact Louis Hornick & Co. for a free repair kit.
Consumers can call 800-517-3612 for information.
