Drones over U.S. may pose security risks

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Coby Electronics rechargeable batteries due to a fire hazard.
About 19,600 batteries imported from China were recalled by Coby Electronics Corp. of Lake Success, N.Y.
The batteries can overheat, a potential fire hazard, the commission said.
The recalled batteries were sold with portable DVD/CD/MP3 players that have an 8 1/2 inch screen and product number TF-DVD-8501. They were sold nationwide from January 2007 through September 2009 for between $140 and $275.
Consumers were advised to remove the recalled batteries from the device and contact Coby Electronics for a free replacement battery.
Consumers can call 877-305-2629 for information.
