Crude oil prices dip Friday

NEW YORK, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices finished lower on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday, with prices sliding below $68 per barrel, a level unseen since late July.

The price of light, sweet crude lost 26 cents to $67.84 per barrel. Heating oil prices also fell, dropping 0.0211 cents to $1.718 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices added 0.247 cents to $1.757 per gallon.

The price of natural gas added 0.031 cents to $2.539 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was $2.591 per gallon Friday, down from Thursday's $2.596, AAA said.
