Crude oil prices make gains

GAS PRICES KEEP GOING UP, SAUDI ARABIA SAID TO INCREASE OUTPUT

NEW YORK, July 15 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices rose above $61 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Wednesday as stock prices rebounded on a strong report from chipmaker Intel.

Crude oil added $2.02 to reach $61.54 per barrel. Heating oil gained 0.0702 cents to $1.5821 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices added 0.0615 cents to $1.7081 per gallon. Natural gas prices lost 0.146 cents to $3.283 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline was $2.504 Wednesday, down from Tuesday's $2.517 a gallon, AAA said.
