Grain futures mostly higher Monday

CHICAGO, July 13 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mostly higher on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday as stocks rallied in New York and the dollar fell against the euro.

Corn was up 1 1/4 to up 13 1/2, soybeans were off 5 1/2 to off 36 3/4, wheat was up 23 3/4 to up 24 and oats were up 7.

Corn futures closed higher with a U.S. Department of Agriculture announcement of 120,000 metric tons sold to an unknown buyer. India banned wheat exports Monday, giving futures a boost. Soybean futures fell ahead of a National Oilseed Processors' Association monthly report due Tuesday.

The prices:

Corn: Jul 3.59, up 13 1/2; Sep 3.31 3/4, up 3 1/2; Dec 3.39 1/2, up 1 1/2; Mar 3.52 1/2, up 1 1/4.

Soybeans:Jul 10.91 1/2, off 36 3/4; Aug 10.18 1/2, off 26 1/4; Sep 9.55 1/2, off 16 1/4; Nov 9.11 1/2, off 5 1/2.

Wheat: Jul 5.15 3/4, up 24; Sep 5.42 3/4, up 24; Dec 5.69, up 23 3/4; Mar 5.87, up 23 3/4.

Oats: Jul 2.11, up 7; Sep 2.19, up 7; Dec 2.31, up 7; Mar 2.43, up 7.
