
CHICAGO, July 9 (UPI) -- Grains futures closed higher on the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday as stocks in New York turned up, posting slight gains.
Corn was up 4 1/4 to up 5 3/4, soybeans were up 24 to up 32 1/2, wheat was up 5 to up 5 3/4 and oats were up 2.
Corn futures closed higher as the dollar lost ground against the euro Thursday. Wheat prices rose on reports of long-term dry weather in Russia. The U.S. Export Sales Report said old crop soybean sales are ahead of projections for the market year.

Corn: Jul 3.43 1/2, up 4 1/4; Sep 3.29 1/2, up 4 1/4; Dec 3.40, up 5 3/4; Mar 3.53 1/4, up 5 1/2.
Soybeans:Jul 11.10 1/2, up 26 1/2; Aug 10.47 1/2, up 32 1/2; Sep 9.73, up 29 1/2; Nov 9.16, up 24.
Wheat: Jul 4.94 1/4, up 5 3/4; Sep 5.22 1/4, up 5; Dec 5.48 1/2, up 5 1/4; Mar 5.66, up 5 1/4.
Oats: Jul 2.03 1/2, up 2; Sep 2.11 1/2, up 2; Dec 2.23 1/2, up 2; Mar 2.35 1/2, up 2.
