McDonalds wins law suit

OAK BROOK, Ill., June 19 (UPI) -- McDonald's new Angus burger, using a patty that weighs a third of a pound, will go city-wide in Chicago July 2, the fast-food company said Friday.

A few McDonald's among the Chicago area's 500 franchises are already serving the Angus burger, which is made with a higher quality beef. But after two years of test marketing, the burger is ready for a full-scale launch -- at least in Chicago, the company said.

McDonald's has concentrated its marketing recently on promotions of McCafe premium coffee blends.

The new burger costs $3.99, Crain's Chicago Business reported.
