BUCHAREST, Romania, May 26 (UPI) -- Merrill Lynch experts estimate Romania's economy will contract 6.4 percent for all of 2009, and in 2010 will slightly recover to decline 2.5 percent.
A Bank of America Securities-Merrill Lynch prognosis forecast Romania's annual inflation in 2009 will reach 5.2 percent while in 2010 it should drop to 4 percent.
Early this year, the Romanian National Bank's prognosis showed the 2009 inflation rate of 3.5 percent.
In 2008, Romania's annual inflation amounted to 6.3 percent, the Romanian HotNews.ro Web site said.
