Jason Evans hooded jackets recalled

WASHINGTON, May 7 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Jason Evans Associates hooded jackets due to a strangulation hazard.

The black and gray jackets include a drawstring that could pose a hazard to children, the commission said in a statement.

About 1,300 of the jackets were imported from Pakistan by Jason Evans Assoc. LLC ofr Hewlett , N.Y. They were sold through Burlington Coat Factory outlets from September 2006 through April 2009 for about $17.

Consumers were advised to remove the drawstrings or return the jackets to the place of purchase for a full refund.
