U.S. markets recover from steep losses

DALLAS, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Southwest Airlines said it would add Boston's Logan Airport to its list of destinations by the third quarter of the year.
The airline has long kept its eye on Boston to compliment its service to nearby Providence, R.I., and Manchester, N.H., and Hartford, Conn., The Boston Globe reported Thursday.
In 2008, Chief Executive Officer Gary Kelly said Southwest would add Boston to its list of 66 destinations if conditions were right. Since making the comment, fuel prices have dropped sharply and Boston has lost 6 percent of its domestic service, the newspaper said.
Kelly said the move could add up to 40 new jobs at Logan. However, Southwest is planning on a "conservative launch" of 8 to 12 daily departures, the Globe said.
