High School Musical Manicure Kits recalled

WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of High School Musical Manicure Kits, due to a risk of lead exposure.

The manicure kits, imported from China by Fantas-Eyes Inc., of New York, include lettering on the pouch that contain high levels of lead, the Commission said in a statement.

About 15,000 of the kits were sold by LTD Commodities and ABC distributing catalogs and Web sites for about $11 from September 2008 through November 2008.

Consumers were advised to take the pouched used with the manicure kits away from children and contact Fantas-Eyes for a free replacement.
