Crude oil prices down slightly

NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices fell on the New York Mercantile Exchange, as a stock market rally ended Thursday.

The Dow Jones industrial average bounced up 279 points Wednesday. But the rally faded Thursday, pulling some support from commodities.

Crude oil prices slid $1.12 to $43.18 per barrel. Heating oil prices settled at $1.3475 per gallon, down 0.0437 cents. Reformulated blendstock gasoline fell 0.19 cents to $1.0785 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.159 cents to $4.657 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $1.85 Thursday, up from Wednesday's $1.848 a gallon, AAA said.
