FELIXSTOWE, England, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Authorities in England say they have seized more than $3.5 million in counterfeit designer shoes and sneakers.

The knock-offs were seized by customs officers at Britain's largest container port at Felixstowe, the Mail on Sunday reported.

The newspaper reported that the seized cargo included 318 boxes of counterfeit Jimmy Choo and Gucci ladies' shoes and boots, and 600 cartons of fake Nike trainers.

The shoes are thought to have been shipped from China.

Jim Jarvie of the British Border Agency said most illegal goods fund organized crime and terrorist activities.
