Crude oil prices ignore winter's chill

GAS PRICES KEEP GOING UP, SAUDI ARABIA SAID TO INCREASE OUTPUT

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices fell Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, despite a cold front gripping the U.S. Northeast and Midwest.

Crude oil prices dropped 62 cents to $54.39, even as the heating season began in earnest across much of the United States.

Heating oil prices fell Tuesday, down 0.026 cents to $1.7677 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline fell 0.0372 cents to $1.1374 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.072 cents to $6.508 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.068 Tuesday, down from Monday's $2.087 a gallon, AAA said.
