WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Brunswick Bowling & Billiards game chairs due to a fall hazard.

The "Colonial" wooden folding game chairs, imported by Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Corp. of Lake Forest, Ill., include retaining washers that can loosen, causing the chairs to become unstable, the commission said.

About 1,700 of the chairs were sold through authorized Brunswick dealers nationwide from March 2007 through March 2008 for about $400 per set.

Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled chairs immediately and contact the dealer to schedule a free repair.

Consumers can call 800-336-8771 for information.
