U.S. markets recover from steep losses

MOSCOW, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Apple's third-generation iPhone went on sale in Russia Friday, retailers said.
Two versions of the mobile phone are selling for 23,000 and 27,000 rubles, or about $900 and $1,000.
Three of Russia's leading mobile operators are selling the phone, the RIA Novosti news service reported.
Apple sold a million of the 3G iPhones in the first three days they went on the market in July. The phones come with eight or 16 gigabytes of memory, which accounts for the price differences.
