John Jaques & Sons lawn dart game recalled

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of John Jaques & Sons lawn darts games due to a risk of puncture.

The lawn darts game was banned in December 1988 to protect children from injury, the commission said in a statement Thursday.

About 35 of the games, made in China for John Jaques & Sons, Ltd. of Edenbridge, England, were sold online through the Kensington Trading Company and Hammacher Schlemmer Web sites from March 2006 through July 2008 for about $60.

Consumers should take the lawn darts from children immediately and contact John Jaques & Sons for a full refund, the commission said.

Consumers can call 877-374-8881 for information.
