WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Igloo Marine Elite Coolers due to a laceration hazard.

The coolers include sharp stainless steel edges on the latch, the commission said.

About 7,200 of the white coolers, made in the United States and China for Igloo Products Corp. of Katy, Texas, were sold at West Marine stores nationwide from January 2008 through July 2008 for $80-$375.

The recalled coolers were sold in four sizes ranging from 72 quarts to 162 quarts, the commission said.

Consumers were advised to stop using the coolers and contact Igloo to receive a free replacement latch.

Consumers can call 888-257-0934 for information.
