WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Pottery Barn Kids, prompted by discovery of a choking hazard, is voluntarily recalling children's metal water bottles, U.S. product safety officials say.
The sip top on the water bottles can pull off, creating the potential for choking, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement last Tuesday.
About 20,000 of the water bottles, made in Taiwan for Pottery Barn Kids of San Francisco, were sold nationwide from January 2007 through August of this year for about $10. The bottles are about 9 inches tall and include a black rubber sip top, the commission said.
Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled water bottles and contact Pottery Barn Kids for a full refund.
