STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Shares of Scandinavian airline SAS jumped 11 percent Friday on rumors Germany's Lufthansa was pursuing a takeover.
The Swedish stock market halted SAS trades Friday after the sudden increase in share values, the Swedish news agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyra reported.

Neither airline would comment on the speculation, the news service said.
