TEMPE, Ariz., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- US Airways said three executives are leaving the company, including Larry LeSueur, whose career in airlines began as a baggage worker in 1984.

LeSueur started at American West, which later merged with US Airways. LeSueur is retiring from his position as vice president of culture, recruitment and leadership development. His duties will be absorbed by the airline's vice president of human resources, The Arizona Republic reported Wednesday.

Chief Information Officer Joe Beery is also departing, taking the position of vice president and chief information officer at Biomedical/Invitrogen in California, the newspaper said.

The airline is seeking a new CIO, the report said.

Also departing is Travis Christ, vice president of sales and marketing.

Christ did not specify a career destination, but said it was time for a change.

US Airways senior vice president of schedule planning and alliances Andrew Nocella will assume Christ's responsibilities, the Republic reported.
