WASHINGTON, July 25 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of It's My Binky pacifiers because of a choking hazard.
The Malaysian-made pacifiers, imported by It's My Binky of Henderson, Nev., include a pacifier button, ring handles, and shields with nipples that can detach, posing a hazard to infants, CPSC said in a statement.
About 115,000 of the recalled pacifiers were sold between February 2006 and June 2008 for between $5 and $6 each.
The recalled pacifiers come in blue, white and pink and have "Japlo" imprinted on the front of the pacifier shield. The buttons on the pacifiers include short expressions, such as "Rock Star" and "Born 2 $hop."
Consumers were advised to take the pacifiers away from children and return them to retailers for a free replacement.
Consumers can also call It's My Binky at 888-689-9444 for more information.
