'Faded Glory' jewelry sets recalled

WASHINGTON, July 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of "Faded Glory" lip gloss and jewelry sets due to risk of lead exposure.

The packages include a necklace, a charm bracelet and a container of lip gloss. But the lobster claw clasp on the bracelets, imported by F. A. F. Inc. of Greenville, R.I., contain high levels of lead, a CPSC statement said.

The recall involves Frog Set, Monkey Set and Cat Set packages. About 30,000 of these sets were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores between May 2008 and June 2008, selling for about $6.

Consumers were advised to take the bracelet away from children and return it to any Wal-Mart for a full refund.

Consumers can also call F. A. F. Inc. at 800-949-3311 for more information.
