WASHINGTON, July 9 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Oh Chute Parachute with streamers fireworks due to a shock hazard.

The parachutes can become tangled with overhead power lines, creating a shock hazard, a CPSC statement said.

About 84,250 of the fireworks were sold individually or in packs of four from April 2007 through June 2008 for about $2.50 each and $8 a pack.

The Oh Chute Parachute comes in a light blue cylinder with white clouds. They were made in China and distributed by Fireworks Over America of Springfield, Mo.

Consumers were advised to stop using the product and return them to the place of purchase or Fireworks Over America for a full refund.

Consumers can call Fireworks Over America at 800-345-3957 for information.
