WASHINGTON, June 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Dollar Tree glue guns due to a fire hazard.

The glue guns, imported from China by Greenbrier International Inc. of Chesapeake, Va., can short circuit, possibly triggering a fire, a CPSC statement said. No injuries have been reported.

About 470,000 of the Crafters Square Hot Melt Mini Glue Guns were sold for about $1 at discount stores from December 2007 through March 2008.

Consumers were advised to stop using the glue guns and return them to stores for a refund.

Consumers can also call Dollar Tree Stores at 800-876-8077 for information.
