U.S. markets recover from steep losses

WASHINGTON, June 25 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Nordstrom girls' sandals due to a choking hazard.
The sandals, made by Meyeworld of Hicksville, N.Y., include flower embellishments that can detach and choke a child, a CPSC statement said.
No injuries have been reported, but about 1,500 of the Cadence-Lea and Trio-Lea girls' sandals were sold between March 2008 and May 2008 at Nordstrom stores for about $30 a pair.
Consumers were advised to take the sandals from children and return them for a full refund.
Consumers can also call Nordstrom at 800-804-0806 for more information.
