WASHINGTON, May 30 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of QuinCrafts children's jewelry due to risk of lead exposure.

The clasps on the jewelry included in the Makit and Bakit Jewelry Sets and Suncatcher Sets contain toxic levels of lead, CPSC said in a statement.

No injuries have been reported, but 70,000 of the jewelry sets were sold nationwide from August 2007 through March 2008 for about $2 each.

Imported from China by QuinCrafts of Dexter, Mich., the sets involved in the recall include charm bracelet, necklace and 5-piece packages with item numbers 55256, 41671, 55106, 55100, 43131, 50083 and 50694.

Consumers were advised to take the jewelry from children and contact QuinCrafts for a replacement.

Consumers can also call QuinCrafts at 800-366-4660 for more information.
