LONDON, May 22 (UPI) -- A London mansion with a price tag of $229.9 million has found a buyer, sources said Thursday.

The Kensington Palace Gardens mansion belonging to hedge fund mogul Noam Gottesman will sell for more than $15,700 a square foot, The Times of London reported.

The sale to billionaire Lakshmi Mittal will make it one of the most expensive homes ever sold, selling far above the previous record for London, which was $157 million.

Mittal is reputedly buying the home for his son, Aditya, 32, who wants to stay in the Kensington Palace Gardens area, where several billionaires reside, the Times reported.
