At 325.6 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories were in the middle of the average range for this time of year, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported.
Motor gasoline inventories increased by 0.8 million barrels during the latest reporting period and are in the upper half of the average range. Finished gasoline and distillate fuel inventories fell during the week, the report said.
Distillate fuel inventories decreased by 0.1 million barrels, the EIA reported. Propane and propylene inventories rose by 1.3 million barrels, while total commercial petroleum stockpiles grew by 5.5 million barrels, the agency said.
