Crude prices head down Thursday

NEW YORK, April 24 (UPI) -- U.S. crude oil prices fell Thursday on easing supply worries, but a strike at a Scottish refinery set for this weekend could bring back supply jitters.

Crude oil prices dropped more than $1.50 on the New York Mercantile Exchange Thursday, falling to $115.89 a barrel in late afternoon trading.

Heating oil prices fell 0.0033 cents to $3.255 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell 0.0031 cents to $3.0155 per gallon. Natural gas prices, rose 0.012 cents $10.79 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline climbed to a record $3.556 per gallon Wednesday, up from $3.533 per gallon, AAA said.
