REDMOND, Wash., April 15 (UPI) -- Will Poole, a leader who helped develop Microsoft Corp.'s Windows Vista, will retire this fall, Microsoft said Tuesday.

Poole is currently co-leading Microsoft's Unlimited Potential Group, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.

His co-leader, Olando Ayala, will move to a "broader role," in sales and marketing, and the group will be lead by Anoop Gupta, an executive currently in charge of long-term strategies for educational markets, the Post-Intelligencer reported.

The company said Poole will "pursue philanthropic and entrepreneurial interests."
