Crude inventories declined 3.2 million barrels to 316 million barrels during the week ending April 4. The supply is in the middle of the average range for this time of year, EIA said.
Gas inventories declined 3.4 million barrels to 221.3 million barrels, but supplies remain above average, the report said.
Both finished gasoline inventories and gasoline blending components inventories decreased on the week, as did distillate fuel inventories, which declined by 3.7 million barrels, the EIA reported.
Propane and propylene inventories fell by 0.4 million barrels.
Total commercial petroleum stockpiles declined by 8.6 million barrels, falling to the middle of the average range for this time of year, the agency said.
