Chinese-made toy board book sets recalled

WASHINGTON, April 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 17,000 Little Builder brand children's board book sets due to a safety hazard.

The Chinese-manufactured sets, imported by Dalmatian Press LLC of Franklin, Tenn., include a toy concrete mixer and toy dump truck. The CPSC said the cylinder on the mixer and the tailgate on the truck can detach, posing a choking hazard for young children.

The recall involves Little Builder Children's Board Book sets with ISBN 1-49373-215-9. The sets include four concept board books (colors, tools, 123 and shapes).

The recalled products were sold nationwide and on the Internet from August 2007 through February 2008 for about $9.

Consumers may return the sets for a refund or exchange, or they can contact the company at 866-418-2572 for more information.
