Ironing could make a comeback

CHICAGO, March 16 (UPI) -- Wash-and-wear could take a backseat to ironing among U.S. consumers if new products at the International Housewares Association show are any indication.

Hate the process of ironing a shirt, turning it this way and that to get at all the fabric? Homz has a body-shaped ironing board that revolves, allowing one to iron all sides without pulling and tugging. For pants, there's a little clip to hold them in place.

BMI Bertolo is displaying the Jeanselit, an inflatable ironing board with attached steamer to take the wrinkles out of clothing magically.

And Oliso has an iron that stands on little feet when not in use, minimizing the odds of scorching.

The housewares trade show opened Sunday and runs through Tuesday at McCormick Place in Chicago. It's not open to the public.
