
GLOUCESTER, Mass., March 2 (UPI) -- Gorton's Seafood announced a recall of frozen fish fillets after a Pennsylvania woman reported finding pills inside them.
The Gloucester, Mass., company in an announcement said only one case of contaminated fish had been reported and no illness had resulted. But it said it was recalling the fillets as a precaution.
The product is Gorton's 6 Crispy Battered Fish Fillets with the UPC code 4440015770 and date code 7289G1. The fillets were distributed to stores in Florida, Texas, Georgia, California and Pennsylvania.
The fillets are being removed from store shelves.
Consumers who bought the product can arrange for a refund by sending the empty package to Gorton's Recall Center, P.O. Box 6075, Englewood, N.J., 07631-0075.
