Consumer Corner: Foreclosure settlement no magic bullet for economy

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling 180,000 vehicles, including 124,000 Expeditions of the model year 2007-2008, the company said Monday.
The recall was prompted by problems with the spring system in the door handle. During side crashes, the door latch could open, leftlanenews.com reported.
Ford also announced a recall of 57,000 model year 2006-2007 E-series vans and model year 2007 Expedition and Navigator SUVs with 5.4 liter engines,
The second recall was prompted by a crossover hose that could leak fuel and create a fire hazard.
Ford said no injuries have been reported due to either problem.
