Crude oil prices drop Tuesday

NEW YORK, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices gained in trading Monday, but slipped away from the $90 per barrel mark late in the day on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
The price of crude dropped 9 cents to $89.93 per barrel Monday, after a peaking earlier at $90.02 per barrel.
Heating oil prices also fell, down 0.27 cents to $2.4806 per gallon.
Reformulated gasoline fell 0.17 cents to $2.31 per gallon.
Natural gas prices rose 10.7 cents to reach $7.847 per million British thermal units.
The national average price at the pump for a gallon of unleaded gasoline was $2.977, down from Sunday's average of $2.979 per gallon, the AAA Fuel Gauge Report said.
