WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made Cranium Cadoo board games due to excessive lead content.

The CPSC said approximately 38,000 games, imported by Cranium Inc. of Seattle contain dice with surface paint that violates the federal lead paint standard.

The recalled board games, sold nationwide since October, include only games with lot numbers 2007195 through 2007244. The Cranium Cadoo game is packaged in a square cardboard box with an orange background. The seven digit lot number is printed under the plastic tray on the bottom half of the box.

The CPSC said consumers can contact Cranium Inc. at 877-272-6486 to receive free replacement dice.
