Chinese-made picture frames are recalled

WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary nationwide recall of Babies 'R' Us hanging photo frames because of lead contamination.

The CPSC said approximately 600 4-inch-by-6-inch photo frames, imported from China by The Gift Wrap Co. of Atlanta, have surface paint that contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

The wooden frames are white with decorations in different colors and with a coordinating ribbon attached to the top.

Consumers are urged to stop using the photo frames and contact The Gift Wrap Co. at 800-443-4429 for a refund.
