The raids came as prosecutors stepped up a special probe into a corruption scandal at Samsung, a 60-subsidiary business empire that includes Samsung Electronics Co.
"We have seized eight boxes of documents at the head office of Samsung Securities. We also thoroughly searched the offices of employees, including the CEO and other executives," prosecutor Kim Soo-nam told reporters.
