WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Mattel Inc. (NYSE:MAT) is recalling nearly 774,000 toys, including Barbie playsets, due to illegally high lead-paint levels, a U.S. consumer safety agency said Tuesday.

The recall involves about 675,000 Barbie playsets, 90,000 Fisher-Price Inc. GeoTrax locomotive toys and 8,900 Fisher-Price Big Big World 6-in-1 Bongo Band toys, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The tainted Barbie playsets include a Dream Puppy House, Dream Kitty Condo, table and chairs kitchen, bathtub and toilet, desk and chair bedroom, and two living room playsets, the commission said.

The Fisher-Price toys also contain unsafe lead levels, the commission said.

No injuries have been reported.

Consumers are advised to immediately take these toys away from their children and contact the Mattel and Fisher-Price hot line at (888) 496-8330, or visit Mattel's Web site at www.mattel.com/safety, to learn how to receive a free replacement toy of equal value.

Mattel had no immediate comment.

The world's largest toy maker issued two other recalls this summer, involving nearly 22 million toys made in China.
