Murdoch cartoon focuses on Dow deal

NEW YORK, July 27 (UPI) -- A life-size cartoon of Rupert Murdoch is the latest twist in the media mogul's widely advertised efforts to take over The Wall Street Journal.

Murdoch's likeness hangs outside the New York headquarters of the Dow Jones Co., the Journal's parent organization and passersby were invited to write their views about the possible takeover on the picture.

"Keep The Wall Street Journal out of this scumbag's hands," one wrote.

The drawing is the work of artist Geoffrey Raymond, who said he was expressing his own anxiety about the deal, the London Press Gazette reported.
