CHICAGO, June 29 (UPI) -- William Daley, brother of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, has been named by J. P. Morgan Chase to head its new office of corporate social responsibility.

He was also added to Chase's senior leadership team, the only Chicago officer in the elite management circle, Crain's Chicago Business reported.

His duties will include the coordination of Morgan's global efforts in government affairs, public policy, charitable giving and environmental and community affairs.

He will continue in his role as chairman of the J. P. Morgan Chase Foundation and chairman of the financial institution's U.S. Midwest Region.

Daley said his role will be to "pull together that which we do today" in areas including health care, community lending, diversity, philanthropy and the company's own environmental impact.
