ANN ARBOR, Mich., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Ford Motor Co. Chairman Bill Ford has put his 6,500-foot, five-bedroom home on 17.2 acres in Ann Arbor, Mich., up for sale.

The asking price is $3.95 million.

Savarino Properties, which listed the home, would not comment when contacted by the Detroit Free Press.

The agency's Web site describes the Mediterranean-style contemporary home built in 1980 as a "breathtaking riverfront estate in the ultimate Ann Arbor location."

Ford and his family moved more than a year ago into a new house near the home they are selling.

His company recently posted a $12.7 billion loss for 2006, its biggest annual loss ever.
