U.S. crude oil supplies ebbing

NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. crude oil inventories fell 300,000 barrels last week, the Energy Department said Wednesday.

At 340.8 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories remain well above the upper end of the average range for this time of year.

Gasoline supplies declined by 600,000 barrels last week and are at the lower end of their seasonal average range.

Distillate fuel inventories, which include diesel fuels and heating oil, fell by 1 million barrels and are near the middle of the average range for this time of year. Specifically, a decline in heating oil inventories more than compensated for a slight rise in diesel fuels.
