Study finds workers getting restless

ATLANTA, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- A study finds that one in six U.S. workers plans to change employers in the coming year.

Sibson Consulting, which conducted the survey, said the major reason workers give for moving on is dissatisfaction with the job, not higher pay, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

"Three years ago, people were just glad to have a job," Jim Kochanski, a senior vice president, said. "Now, they're less satisfied, and if they have other options presented to them, turnover could start to increase."

Almost 1,300 people were interviewed for the Rewards of Work study.

The study, the fourth Sibson has done since 1997, found that worker satisfaction has dropped over the past 12 years.
