Investors buying Netsmart for $115 million

GREAT RIVER, N.Y., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A venture capital consortium is buying New York's Netsmart Technologies Inc., which makes enterprise software for healthcare and human services groups.

Insight Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners will pay $115 million in cash for Netsmart, company officials said Monday in a news release. The purchase price represents a 23.5-percent premium to the average closing price over the last 20 trading days of $13.36.

Members of the Netsmart executive management team will participate in the ownership of the company.
