ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Cleveland Clinic and Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Development will jointly build a hospital in the United Arab Emirates.

To be known as Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, the facility will incorporate Cleveland Clinic's medical group model, providing specialty services to be developed based on the results of a comprehensive health economic impact study, the clinic said Wednesday in a statement.

The site of the new hospital will be Al Suwwa Island, close to the Mina Zayed Port and across from Abu Dhabi Mall. It is scheduled to be operational in three years.

Mubadala Development is owned by the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
